Join the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals for our National Day of Empowerment (NDOE) event powered by the National Urban League Young Professionals. This years theme is Equity Redefined: Empowerment Financial Futures in the Black Community, and this Inaugural Professional Development Summit will be sure to give our members and guests the tool they need for excellence and economic success.
Opening Plenary Session: The Summit's opening plenary will kick off with a presentation about financial literacy that includes debt management, budgeting, diverse accounts, credit repair and more. The plenary will also include a presentation from the Houston Area Urban League's Housing Program covering the First Time Home Buyer Program and tools to building generational wealth.
Industry Breakout Sessions:
Each session will feature of panel of dynamic speakers ranging from entry level to senior level executives discussing the keys to professional development success such as: salary negotiations, hiring transparency, retirement/benefits, social capital and talent development.
The Entrepreneurship breakout session will be powered the Houston Area Urban League's Entrepreneurship Center, and feature a powerhouse lineup of speakers, who will take you from an ordinary to extraordinary business owner!
Business & Organization Fair: The Summit will conclude with a networking moment for attendees who will have the opportunity to connect with other professional organizations in their industries, as well as business owners who are leading the way in the financial empowerment space.
